Heart Foundation Visits

Over the past 2 weeks we have been doing lots of learning about the different food groups. Nicky from the Heart Foundation came into our classroom and told us all about serving sizes, the food pyramid and how many servings of each food group we should be having every day.

Then we learnt all about the Heart Foundation guidelines and reading labels on all of our food about energy, sodium, fat, sugar and dietary fibre.

We have all found these really interesting and taking all of this information home with us to inform our whanau and friends.
